VALVERDE LAW MARCO “MARQUITO” DAVID VEGA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
PURPOSE: This scholarship is given in honor of Marco “Marquito” David Vega who earned his angel's wings on February 16, 2023. Marquito's life was an example of an Hispanic youth who faced significant obstacles yet never doubted his value or worth because of the loving, undying support, and constant presence of his mother, Cecilia.
ELIGIBILITY: The applicant must be an immigrant or the child of an immigrant in the Hampton Roads Virginia area and adjacent city and counties as well as a high school senior with plans to further their education pursuing a two year or four year degree at an accredited institution.
AWARD: The $2,500 award will be sent directly to the school where the scholarship recipient will be attending once a letter of acceptance has been turned into the scholarship committee.
